Mosque Tour: Corpus Christi Secondary School

Our Mosque Tour is a welcoming and educational experience designed for Grade 11 World Religions classes from Catholic schools. Hosted at Dar Foundation, this visit offers students the opportunity to engage directly with Islamic faith and culture in a respectful, interactive setting.
During the tour, students receive a guided walk-through of the mosque, including key spaces such as the prayer hall, wudu (ablution) area, and community spaces. The visit also includes an engaging presentation on the core beliefs and practices of Islam, including:
- Why Muslims pray five times a day
- Why there are no depictions of God in Islam
- The spiritual reasons behind separate prayer spaces for men and women
- The importance of congregational worship and community
To create a safe space for open dialogue, students are invited to submit questions anonymously through a Q&A form, which are answered respectfully and thoughtfully during the session.
As a warm gesture of hospitality, students are also offered a small treat during their visit.
This tour is a valuable opportunity to foster interfaith understanding, support curriculum connections, and encourage curiosity and respect among students.
