Introduction to Islam: Classroom Visit Marshall McLuhan Secondary School Toronto

As part of our Islamic Heritage Month programming, Salam Neighbour will be visiting multiple classrooms at Marshall McLuhan Secondary School in Toronto to deliver an interactive and engaging workshop titled:
This fun, informative session gives students an opportunity to learn about the core beliefs, practices, and values of Islam, while also addressing common misconceptions and encouraging open, respectful dialogue.
Topics include:
- What do Muslims believe?
- What is the Qur’an and how is it used?
- Why do Muslims pray five times a day?
- 6 articles of faith.
- Misconceptions.
- And more – with lots of opportunities to ask questions (anonymous)!
📌 The workshop is designed to be student-friendly, engaging, and interactive, with activities and discussion woven throughout to keep students involved and curious.
Our goal is to foster understanding, respect, and connection, while helping students see the diversity and richness of the Muslim experience – both globally and right here in Canada.
